by women tech bloggers that Anne Zelenka took the time to put together.
Sweet.
Marshall asks if there's a way "you could create unique channels within this glob of feeds
like "give me a feed of items containing the word 'RSS' or 'environmentalism' across all of these feeds'" --
there is if you have the good fortune to be using NetNewsWire on a Mac
(now owned by Newsgator). You can create a Smart List that will aggregate any items
out of your feed collection that contain term X. I believe Shrook has this
functionality as well. Anybody have equivalent solution for the Windows folks?
Where are the women in tech? They live in an OPML file.

(Page 1)2. BlogBridge (a java client that works on PC and Mac) lets you create a "SmartFeed" from terms in feeds that you subscribe to, or Amazon books, or Flickr photos, or Technorati tagged posts... it has a bunch of options.
What would be great is if a feedreader smart list supported pointing to a (need to be publically hosted) OPML file like Anne's and then delivering the smart feed based on results for your terms, without you having to be subscribed to all the feeds in the OPML file yourself.

1. That NetNewsWire capability sounds pretty cool... maybe now that NewsGator owns NNW plus Bradbury's FeedDemon we'll get something like that on PCs. For all I know FeedDemon already has it; I haven't checked into it yet.
There are so many news aggregators now, I bet one for Windows has it. Another thing to look into!
